534 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1260. Membrane 1-cont. John de Swyneford in Boston fair last to pay for the king's purchases there as testified by them before the king. The like to Geoffrey de Sancto Medardo, escheator of Ketsteven, for 401. The like to Hamo Hauteyn, sheriff of Lincoln, for 571. Os. 10d., and also for 1431. 13s. 4d. wherewith he paid for 44 tuns of purchased wine and 34 tuns of the king's lawful prisage which John de Swyneford took for the king in the said fair as testified by him. Oct. 24. Liberate to Marmaduke de Thueng 20 marks for Michaelmas Westminster. term in the 44th year of his yearly fee of 40 marks (as in Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1258-1266, p. 85). Liberate to Geoffrey de Neville 101. for the same term of his yearly fee of 201. (see same Calendar and page). Liberate to Robert de Ferariis 501. for the same term of the 1001. which he receives yearly on account of his marriage. Liberate to Gerard Belet 100s. for Easter term in the 43rd year and 100s. for Easter term in this year of his yearly fee of 100s. (sic). Allocate to John de Norhampton and Richard Pykard, sheriffs of London, in the farm of the city for Easter and Michaelmas terms in the 45th year, 3151. granted to John to receive thence by his own hand in part payment of the king's debts to him. By K. & C. Allocate to Nicholas de Haudlo, keeper of the bishopric of Winchester, in the issues thereof, 1,000 marks lately delivered to the king's son John de Britannia in part payment of the 1,0001. which he receives for the extent of the honour of Richmond. Oct. 26. Allocate to Richard de Clare, earl of Gloucester and Hertford, Westminster. in his debts at the Exchequer, 401. 19s. 5d. for this year, which sum he receives yearly at the Exchequer for the barton of Bristol. Oct. 26. Allocate to Master John Maunsell, keeper of the bishopric of Westminster. Durham, in the issues thereof, 7331. 6s. 8d. delivered in the wardrobe at Westminster to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, clerks and keepers thereof, on the Sunday after St.Luke. Allocate to John de Plessetis, earl of Warwick, constable of the castle of Devizes, in his debts at the Exchequer, 20 marks due for this year of the 25 marks yearly granted to him for keeping the
