530 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1260. Membrane 2-cont. he has received nothing of the issues of the lands of John son of Bernard, the wardship whereof was granted to him (see Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1258-1266, p. 84). By the king and the justiciar. Liberate without fail to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, clerks and keepers of the wardrobe, 2,000 marks for the expenses of the household, and 300 marks to make purveyances against the coming feast of St. Edward. Oct. 3. Liberate to the same without fail 500 marks for the expenses of Windsor. the household in addition to the preceding. By the king and the justiciar. Sept. (reading Oct.) 3. Windsor. Allocate to Philip Basset, in the 50 marks due to him at the present Michaelmas Exchequer for the wardship of the honour of Aungre, 40 marks for this Michaelmas term and 10 marks of the king's special favour for Easter term next of the yearly fee of 80 marks granted to him till the king shall make provision for him in lands of that value out of wards or escheats. By the king, J. Mansell, the earl of Warwick, and Robert Walerand. Allocate to William de Wendling, escheator this side Trent, in the issues of his escheatry, 201. delivered in the wardrobe to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, clerks and keepers thereof, on the Saturday after Michaelmas in the 44th year, as witnessed by Aubrey. Oct. 3. Liberate to Alan Burnel 15 marks of the king's gift for his Windsor. maintenance. By the king and the justiciar. Liberate to Adam de Greynvill 20 marks for Michaelmas term in the 43rd year, and 20 marks for Michaelmas term and 20 marks for Easter term in the 44th year, of his yearly fee of 40 marks. By K. & C. Oct. 5. Liberate to Edward de Westm' and the sub-prior and sacrist Windsor. of Westminster, keepers of the king's works there, 50 marks for the said works in addition to the 100 marks already ordered. Contrabreve to let the friars preachers of London have 101. of the king's gift out of the arrears of the farm of the city for their clothing against the coming winter.
