Liberate without delay to Adam de Basing 4 marks for two gold-wrought cloths bought of him and lately delivered in the wardrobe to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, clerks thereof, before the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul last past. July 19. Liberate to Peter de Nevill 101. for this Easter term of the yearly Westminster. fee of 101. provided for his maintenance in the office of marshal of the household. By the justiciar. Liberate without delay to Adam de Grenvill, appointed together with Walter de Bathonia to extend all the lands and tenements of the honour and earldom of Richemund, 201. for his expenses therein. By the justiciar. Liberate to Bartholomew le Bigod 100s. for this Easter term of his yearly fee of 101. By the justiciar. To the sheriff of York. Contrabreve to let Walter de Bathonia have 101. for his expenses about the extent of the honour and earldom of Richemund (see last entry but one), not failing hereof lest it remain undone through his default. By the justiciar. To Nicholas de Haudlou, keeper of the bishopric of Winchester. Contrabreve to let Augustine de Notingham, bishop of Laodicea, have 25 marks at Michaelmas next and 25 marks at Easter following, balance of 60 marks granted to him for God's sake and by special favour in compassion for his poverty, the king having already ordered payment of 10 marks at the Exchequer; and to let him have the said 60 marks yearly in future (as on p. 510).
