Allocate to Gilbert de Chaele, formerly sheriff of Lincoln, in the issues of the county, 4 (?) marks delivered to Roger le Taylur (Cissori) and Hugh de Turri for the king's purchases in Boston fair, as testified by Hugh before the king. Allocate to the same in like manner 2 marks spent in carrying a prisoner, taken and detained in the king's prison of Lincoln for sealing a writ with a forged (adulterino) seal, from Lincoln to Neugate under a sure guard; and 19s. spent in purchase of peacocks, swans, cranes, and other fowls and sending them to the king at York against the Christmas which he celebrated there. To the sheriff of Wilts. Contrabreve to let John de Swyneford, king's clerk, have 15 marks for divers arrears due to him. Feb. 22. Allocate to John de Cokerinton, sheriff of Lincoln, in his debts Wetminster. to the king, 10 marks for his expenses as keeper of the county during the last quarter of the 41st year after the death of William de Legherton, late sheriff. Feb. 21. To William de Ryston, bailiff of Wodestok. Contrabreve to Westminster. let the keepers of the king's works at Wodestok have the farm of the town of Wodestok and of Hordle for the current Easter term to carry out those works by [view of Master] John de Glovernia the king's mason. Like mandate to Roger de Haverhull as to the farm of Cumbe and Stuntefeud. The like to John de Haneberge as to the farm of Bladen. The like to Agnes Bausayn as to the farm of Wtton'. The like to Peter de Lega as to the farm of the king's manors of Haneberge and Blockham. [To the bailiffs] of Geytenton. Contrabreve to finish the queen's chamber at Geytenton, which is not yet finished, the cost to be credited by view and testimony of good and lawful men. Feb. 21. Allocate to William de S[wyneford], sheriff of Norfolk and Westminster. Suffolk, in the issues of the eyre of Gilbert de Preston and his fellows, justices last itinerant in those counties, 2001. delivered in [the wardrobe] at Westminster [to Peter de] Rivallis, keeper, on Thursday, the feast of St. Peter'[s Chair (?)], as witnessed by Peter de Wynton, clerk of the wardrobe.
