Exchequer till the king shall make provision for him of lands of
that value from wards or escheats.
Liberate without delay and without fail to Imbert Pugeys and
Simon Passelewe, going on the king's errand to his brother the
king of the Romans, 40 marks for their expenses.
Oct. 29. To William de Leseberue. Contrabreve, on his loyalty and as
Westminster. he loves himself and all his possessions, to let Robert Waleraund
have 50 marks with all speed out of the arrears of William's farm
of co. Gloucester to pay as far as it will suffice for victuals for
which Henry de Penebrok the sheriff failed to pay (as on pp. 402-3).
To the sheriff of Wilts. Contrabreve to let Geoffrey de
Leukenore have 101. for Michaelmas term in the 41st year out
of the issues of the current forest eyre in the county, of the 201.
yearly granted to him for his maintenance so long as he retains
the office of justice of the forest.
To the same. The like for 20 marks for William le Breton.
To the same. The like for 101. for Nicholas de Rummesy.
Nov. 2. Liberate without fail to Peter de Ryvallis, king's clerk, keeper
Westminster. of the wardrobe, 2,000 marks for the expenses of the household.
Liberate to Robert Houel 100s. for his expenses on the king's
errand to Germany.
Nov. 4. Liberate to brother John de Kancia the Pope's messenger
Westminster. 1,000 marks due for the 41st year of the yearly rent (censu) of
1,000 marks which the Pope receives at the Exchequer.
Liberate to Ralph de Terne, William de Eccleshale, and Master
Thomas Comin, canons of Lichfield, 18 marks for 4 tuns of wine
taken from them at Lichfield by John de Sumerset the king's
butler when the king was last there.
Liberate at the coming Easter Exchequer to Deuteitus, citizen
and merchant of Florence, 401. lent by him to William de Chabboneys on the fee wherein the king is bound to William, the king's
letters patent therefor to remain at the Exchequer.
To the sheriff of Warwick. Contrabreve to let the prior of
Coventry have 10 marks out of the issues of his bailiwick to buy a
chasuble of the king's gift for his church of Coventry.
