41 HENRY III. 393 1257. Membrane 3-cont. Sept. 21. To the bailiff of Feckenham. Contrabreve to admit Hugh de Bridgnorth. Bradelegh, king's serjeant, whom the king is sending to take 120 bream in his stew of Feckenham against the coming feast of St. Edward; to bestow his counsel and aid therein, and to put the bream in paste and carry them to Westminster for delivery to the keeper of the larder by the vigil of that feast at latest. To John Waleraund, keeper of the bishopric of Ely. Contrabreve to purvey 10,000 pimpernolls, 300 'steylingis,' and 100 live pike of 2 feet or 24 feet for the king in the bishopric against the aforesaid feast, and carry them to Westminster as above. To the bailiffs of Wodestok. Contrabreve to let the keepers of the works of the king's chapel at Wodestok have 111. out of their farm for the coming Michaelmas term to finish the said works. To Peter de Legh. Contrabreve to let the same keepers have 181. 2s. 5,d. out of the farm that he owes for the same term to finish the said works. MEMBRANE 2. Sept. 21. To the bailiff of Merleberge. Contrabreve to admit John Goch, Bridgnorth. king's serjeant, whom the king is sending to take 20 pike and 40 bream in his stew of Merleberge against the coming feast of St. Edward, to bestow his counsel and aid therein, and to put the bream in paste and carry them with the pike to Westminster for delivery to the keeper of the larder by the vigil of the said feast at latest. To Roger de Haverhulle. Contrabreve to let the keepers of the works of the king's chapel at Wodestok have 102s. to finish those works out of the farm that he owes for the coming Michaelmas term. To Agnes Bazan. The like for 47s. To the sheriff of Hants. Contrabreve to receive 20 pike and 30 bream which John Goch, king's serjeant, has been ordered to take in the king's stew of Wulvemare and deliver, and deal with them as above. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to admit William the king's fisherman, whom the king is sending to take 60 pike and 60 bream in the king's stews of Silveston, Bryckest[ok], and Clyve, to bestow his counsel and aid therein, and to put the bream in paste and carry it with the pike to Westminster as above.
