Contrabreve to take with him lawful men to the castle of Corf to view the defects of the king's buildings therein, and to repair them out of his farm where absolutely necessary, the cost to be credited by view and testimony of lawful men. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let Master Maunsell have without delay 6,000 ells of white canvas, 1,000 ells of serge and bunting (stamine), 1,000 ells of canvas dyed in India (Ynda), 3,000 ells of black canvas, timber, cords, irons, leather and thread to make the king's pavilions, so that they may not remain unmade by default of the sheriffs. To the bailiff of Havering. Contrabreve to carry six logs of alder (fusta de alier) or holly, to be delivered by the keeper of the king's park of Havering, to the Tower for delivery to Master Henry le Tyeys (Teutonico) to repair the king's crossbows there, whereof he is fitter (attiliator). Contrabreve to let John de Swyneford, king's clerk, have 101. without delay out of the issues of his bailiwick, unless already delivered by another writ of computabitur, out of the yearly fee of 201. which he receives at the Exchequer to maintain himself in the king's service. To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to let Master Richard de Furnivall, chancellor of Amiens, and the household that he will bring with him, have prompt transport at Dover, and to pay for it out of the farm of the county or otherwise. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let Henry de Castello have two boat-loads of brushwood worth 5 marks out of the farm of their town.
