the letters patent of Thomas de Winton, formerly clerk of the
wardrobe, and the tallies that they have therefor.
Allocate to Philip Badirun and Henry de Dene, appointed to
make certain sales in the forest of Dene, in the issues of such
sales, 129 marks delivered in the wardrobe to Artald etc. at
Clarendon on the morrow of St. Andrew.
To the sheriff of Somerset and Dorset. Contrabreve to roof the
buildings of the king's castle of Shyreburn where absolutely
necessary, the cost to be credited by view.
To the same. Contrabreve to newly repair the great bridge of
the castle of Corf, which is fallen down, the cost to be credited by
view.
To the sheriff of Hants. Contrabreve to let A. elect of Winchester, the king's brother, have 50 marks out of the issues of
the manor of Awelton in lieu of a like sum lent by him at the
king's request to the king's sister Margaret, viscountess of
Thouars, on the arrears of the fee due to her from the king.

To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to let Robert de
Maris have 508. out of the issues of the county to buy himself a
palfrey of the king's gift.
To the bailiffs of Andovere. Contrabreve to let A. elect of Winchester the king's brother have 60 marks without fail out of the
farm of their town for next Easter term in lieu of a like sum lent
by him at the king's request to the king's sister Isabel, lady of
Crohun (see Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1247-1258, p. 532).
Another writ for the same elect which has been lost in Chancery
is to be held for null if it reaches them.
To the sheriff of Devon. Contrabreve to let Henry de Bretton,
king's clerk, have 251. without delay for Michaelmas term last
out of the issues of the present eyre in that county, out of the 501.
granted to him yearly to maintain himself in the king's service.
To the sheriff of Salop and Stafford. Contrabreve to let Griffin
son of Wenunwen have 25 marks out of the first issues of those
counties to buy himself a horse of the king's gift.
To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let John the chaplain
the king's almoner have 150 pairs of shoes for the use of the poor,
half to be worth 5d. the pair and half to be worth 4id., so that he
