Contrabreve to pay for a tun of prisage-wine which the abbot and convent of Beaulieu receive by charter at Suthampton to celebrate divine service, and which the keepers of the king's wines there will deliver. Mandate to the said keepers accordingly. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to let Roger de Ros, tailor, and Hugh de Turri have 401. out of the issues of his county to make certain purchases for the king at the fair of Norhampton. To the sheriff of Oxford. Contrabreve to salt 80 does which William Luvell and Henry de Candevre the king's huntsmen will take in the forest of Bernwod and deliver to him, and carry the venison to Westminster for delivery to the keeper of the larder there by the third day before Christmas against the feast. The like to the sheriff of Somerset concerning 10 hinds to be taken by Richard and William de Candevre the king's huntsmen in the wood (broyllo) of Ceddre. To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to transport William Bonquer and Peter de Lymoges, whom the king is sending on his errand to the court of Rome, from the port of Dover with their horses and harness without delay. Liberate to Vitalis de Navi and Arnold Guillelmi, messengers Windsor. of Arnold Guillelmi de Morthan and Auger de Duasyn, 5 marks for their expenses homewards, as the king cannot at present pay his debts to them. Liberate to Geoffrey de Assay, clerk of Isabel the king's sister, viscountess of Thouars, 408. for his expenses, as the king cannot wholly pay his debts to her at present. Allocate to Godfrey de Lyston, in the issues of his bailiwick, 308. spent on a silver chalice and a book called ' portehors ' to serve the king's chapel of Keninton,
