328 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1256. Membrane 2-cont. Liberate to William de Frethorn, after payments as above, 10 marks for Michaelmas term in the 40th year of his yearly fee of 10 marks. Liberate, after payments as above, to Raymond Ernaldi 101. for 5 tuns of wine, to Amanevus Columbi 261. for 12 tuns, to Martin Chench 411. 3s. 4d. for 19 tuns, to Ralph Hardel 6f marks for 2 tuns, to Richard Pycard 101. 16s. 8d. for 5 tuns, to William Gotsalm 71. for 4 tuns, to William le Wympler (?) 81. for 4 tuns, and to Alexander de Suffolch 40s. 40d. for 1 tun; and of prisagewines, to Amanevus Columbi 40s. for 2 tuns, and to John Archer 40s. for 2 tuns; all taken by William de Haselbech, the king's chamberlain of London. Oct. 18. Liberate to Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper of the wardrobe Westminster. 2,000 marks for the expenses of the household. To Godfrey de Liston. Contrabreve to pay weekly to Henry, fitter of the king's crossbows, his stipend of 5d. daily from Easter in the 40th year till Michaelmas following. Oct. 20. Liberate to Ellis de Rabbayne, keeper of the king's castle of Westminster. Corf, after payments (as under Oct. 3), 101. for Michaelmas term in the 40th year of the 201. granted to him yearly for that office. Liberate to John de Wyvyle, after payments as above, 30 marks for the same term of the 60 marks granted to him yearly to maintain himself so long as he is in the office of the king's justice, whereas he used to receive 40 marks for sitting at the Exchequer of the Jews. Liberate to William de Chabbeneys, after payments as above, 151. for the same term (as on p. 286). Allocate to Henry de Bathonia, in his debts to the king, 501. for the same term (as on p. 279). Allocate to Hugh de Mitton [and] Gilbert de Mules, keepers of the king's vaccaries of Wiresdale, in the farm thereof, 121. 16s. 8d. delivered in the wardrobe at Westminster to Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper, on the Friday after St. Luke in the 40th year. Liberate to Imbert de Munferaunt, after payments (as under Oct. 3), 101. for Michaelmas term in the 40th year (see Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1247-1258, p. 501). Liberate to Roger de Wyttestre, king's clerk, after payments as above, 20 marks for the same term of the 40 marks granted to him yearly so long as he is on eyre in the office of justice.
