40 HENRY 111. 303 1256. Membrane 7-cont. brothers as enjoined, 201. for Easter term in the 40th year of his yearly fee of 401. Liberate to the master and brethren of the hospital of St. Mary of the Teutons, after payments as above, 40 marks for the same term of the 40 marks which they receive yearly of the king's fixed alms. Liberate to Robert de Corby, after payments as above, 69s. arrears of his wages while with the king on his service in Gascony down to the Thursday after St. Peter's Chains, as reckoned by Richard le Rus (Ruffum), king's clerk, receiving from Robert the king's letters patent therefor (not on Patent or Gascon Roll). June 12. Liberate to Walter Wastehus, who has long served the king and Westminster. is infected with the stain of leprosy, 20s. of the king's gift for his expenses in entering the leper hospital at St. Albans, where he proposes to end his days. Liberate to Savaric de Vivone, after payments as above, 30 marks for Easter term in the 40th year of his yearly fee of 30 marks. Liberate, after payments as above, to Thomas de D)eserto 43s., to Michael le Chevre 19s. 14d. (sic), to Walter Wastehose 19s. 4d., to Simon de Cantuaria 19s. 4d., and to Richard do Sadewell 19s. 4d., arrears of their wages while on the king's service in Gascony as reckoned by Richard le Rus, king's clerk, receiving from them the king's letters patent therefor (not on Patent or Gascon Roll). Liberate, after payments as above, to Henry Page 74s., to John de la Burne 74s., to Richard son of Thomas 46s. 21d., and to Richard de Sancto Marco 32s. 51d., arrears of their wages while with the king on his service in Gascony etc. (as above). Allocate to brother Robert de Manneby, formerly one of the keepers of the bishopric of Ely and the abbeys of Rames', Evesham, and Seleby, in the issues thereof, 50 marks due for his expenses in so serving the king and in dealing with the said issues as enjoined, and 30 marks due on the king's promise made to him in Gascony for his praiseworthy service there. In margin. Note that by this writ he is quit of his fee of 50 marks for the future, and has surrendered the king's letters patent which he had therefor, and so is to receive no more thereof.
