CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS.

Oct. 26. Liberate without delay to Geoffrey Curtomer, merchant of
Westminster. Paris, 60 marks for two enbroidered caps and...........
To the bailiffs of Norhampton. Contrabreve to let the wife of
Nicholas de Sancto Mauro have one............. without delay.
Oct. 28. Allocate to R. de Clare, earl of Gloucester and Hertford, in the
Westminster. first debts which he is to pay at the Exchequer, 401. [which he
should] have received from the king in the 39th year for the
barton of Bristol.
To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to carry 6 tuns of wine
to Westminster and 3 to Windesores to place in the king's cellars
there, and one to the dwelling of the bishop of Bologna in Bermundese, one to that of the elect of Toledo, and one to that of
Garsias Martini, messenger of the king of Castile, out of 12 tuns
to be taken by John de Gisorciis the king's chamberlain of London.
Allocate to R. earl of Gloucester and Hertford as above 401.
in lieu of a like sum delivered by him to Baldwin................ in the 29th year of 801. granted by the king to
Baldwin yearly to maintain himself so long as he should be in
the king's ward.
Liberate to Ellis Maunsel and Richard le Conestable, keepers of
the king's works at Guldeford, 150.... to carry out [those
works].

To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to pay to Eustace de
Braunford and Robert Turneboel during their lives 50s. each at
Michaelmas and 50s. at Easter (as in Calendar of Patent Rolls,
1247-1258, p. 430).
