May 13. Liberate to the said Thomas 575 marks arrears of his yearly fee

Liberate to Peter de Cranzun 30 marks for Easter term in the
38th year and 30 marks for Easter term in the 39th year of his
yearly fee of 30 marks.
To Hugh Garget. Contrabreve to take charge of the king's
buildings and works at Gillingham during pleasure, keeping a
man there on his behalf day and night to guard them, and spending
501. of the issues of his bailiwick in finishing the fireplaces, amending other defects, and enclosing the courtyard, by view and
testimony of lawful men.
May 15. Liberate to Adam de Basyng, citizen of London, 201. for an
Clarendon. embroidered cope taken from him and given to the church of
St. Alban by the hand of Edward de Westm'.
To the sheriff of Dorset. Contrabreve to amend the defects of
the king's castle of Shireburn by task-work by view of good and
lawful men.
MEMBRANE 6.
May 17. Liberate to Simon Passelewe 20 marks for Easter term last past
Clarendon. of the 40 marks granted to him yearly to maintain himself in the
king's service till the king shall provide for him more abundantly.
Note that in future he will not have a liberate, because he has
a writ patent of liberate directed to the treasurer and chamberlains,
as appears below.
Liberate to Adam de Basyng 50 marks due for two embroidered
copes taken from him for the king by the hands of Aubrey de
Fiscampo, king's clerk.
Liberate to William de Sancto Leodegario 71. 8s. 8d. arrears of
his wages while with the king on his service in Gascony down to
the Sunday after the Nativity of St. Mary, as reckoned by Richard
le Rus (Ruffum), king's clerk, receiving from him the king's
letters patent therefor; and 101. for Easter term in the 38th
year and 101. for Easter term in the 39th year of his yearly
fee of 101.
