Contrabreve to carry to the king 10 Windsor. does to be delivered by Robert de Edmundesthorp, who will tf.ke them in the king's park of Guldeford. MEMBRANE 11. Jan. 28. To Hugh Garget, keeper of the manor of Gillingham. ContraWindsor. breve to let Reynold de Drumare have 71. worth of corn according to the valuation of corn usual in those parts, in lieu of 71. arrears of his wages while in the king's service in Gascony down to the Thursday after St. Peter's Chains last, as reckoned by Richard le Rus (Ruffurn), king's clerk. To the sheriff of Gloucester. Contrabreve to buy 200 iron bars (esperdutas) in his bailiwick without delay and carry them to Windesores for delivery to the keepers of the king's works there to carry out those works. To the sheriff of Oxford and Berks. Contrabreve to pay 25 marks without delay to the constable of Windesores and other keepers of the king's works there to carry out those works. To Godfrey de Liston. Contrabreve to pay to five chaplains ministering in the king's chapels of Windesores their wages of 25s. each from Michaelmas in the 38th year till Easter following out of the issues of his bailiwick, as they each receive 50s. yearly. Feb. 3. Liberate to Philip Lovel, treasurer, and Edward de Westm' Westminster. 17 marks for two gold buckles, the one bought for St. Edward and the other for St. Edmund, of the king's new gift. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to cause six of the king's heron-falcons and four of Edward the king's son, which are in the keeping of Ralph de Erlham, to be mewed at Geytinton, finding necessaries for them and certain greyhounds and livery for a groom (as on p. 103) as long as the falcons are in moult.
