Allocate to the bailiffs of Lincoln, in the farm of their city, Merton. 661. 16s. 8d. for 8 scarlet cloths (viij scarlettis) which they brought thence to London and delivered them to Roger Tailor (Scissori) and Bonacius Lumbard to make the liveries of the wardrobe. Liberate to Walter Pedeargent the younger, merchant of Douay, 751. 4s. 2d.; to Walter Pedeargent the elder and Waubert Waubeyn, merchants of Douay, 1141. Os. 8d.; and to John Alard and John Bardolf, merchants of Ypres, 681. 4s. 8d.; all for cloths taken from them in the last fairs of Norhampton and St. Edmund's by the hands of Richard de Ewell and John de Stratford, who delivered them to Roger Tailor and Bonacius Lumbard to make the king's liveries. Liberate to James le Gunteneys 151. 13s. 4d., to Roger de Rucham 46s. 8d., to John de Norhampton, citizen of London, 381. 3s., to Alan de Bratton 191. 10s. 8d., to Anketill de Auvern 51s., to Ralph Smith (Fabro) 48s. 3d., to Nicholas Adrian 8s. 81d., to Henry le Paumer 9s. 4d., and to Richard de Rotomago and his partner 103s. 6d., for furs, cushions, silken cloths wrought with gold and of Larest (de aresta), hangings (tapetis), canvas, cords, and hair-cloths (heyris), all taken from them in the above fairs and the city of London by the hands of Richard de Ewell and John de Stratford against the king's arrival in England and delivered in the wardrobe to Roger Tailor and Bonacius Lumbard. takers of the king's cloths. Liberate to Richard de Walebroc 211. 13s. 8d. for 385 pounds of pepper and 386 pounds of ginger bought of him for the king in the 39th year by Andrew Poynaunt, clerk of the wardrobe. Allocate to Roger de Haverhull, in the issues of the exchange of Ireland while he was keeper thereof, 4001. delivered to H. bishop of Ossory, treasurer of Ireland, by order of the queen and of R. earl of Cornwall the king's brother when they were keepers of the kingdom of England, and 1071. 16s. 9jd. delivered to the same treasurer by the like order on Roger's departure from Ireland; the bishop's letters patent witnessing the payments to be retained in the Exchequer.
