Jan. 4. Allocate to Reynold de Cobeham, sheriff of Kent, in the issues
Westminster. of the county, 71. 5s. spent in making 8 bridges and 40 hurdles
for the king's ship against his voyage from Whitsaund to
England.
Liberate to William de Esse the king's watchman during his
life the 3Id. daily which Maud late the wife of Vilanus de Fossato
used to receive of the king's fixed alms, and which the king has
granted to him for life to receive for his maintenance as Maud
did.
Jan. 8. To the bailiffs of Norhampton. Contrabreve to let the wife of
Westminster. Nicholas de Sancto Mauro have a tun of wine of the king's gift
out of the farm of their town.
To the sheriff of Hants. Contrabreve to carry all the king's
venison which is in his keeping at Winchester to the king without
delay.
Allocate to John de Hanneberge and Peter de Legh, bailiffs
of Wodestok, in the farm of their bailiwick, 119s. 5d. spent in
making a limekiln (rogum) for the king's works at Wodestok, as
the king is informed by an inquisition made by the sheriff of
Oxford.

Jan. 10. Liberate to Robert Cornevill and Thomas de Brampton,
Westminster. serjeants of the king's chapel, 75q. for 90 pounds of wax which
they found for sealing the king's writs when he was last in Gascony,
as reckoned by Roger de Messenden, king's clerk.
To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to carry 8 tuns of wine
to Merton and 8 to Kenyton to be kept for the king's use out of
16 which John de Sumerset will deliver.
Jan. 12. Allocate to John de Lexinton, keeper of the king's manor of
Westminster. Pikering, in the issues thereof, 531. (?) 6s. 8d. for his expenses in
going to the parts of Scotland on the king's errand on several
occasions after the king's last voyage to Gascony.
Liberate to John de Swineford, king's clerk, 101. arrears for
Michaelmas term last of his yearly fee of 201.
Allocate to Arnald de Bosco, justice of the forest, in the farm of
his bailiwick in co. Northampton, 20 marks for the expenses which
he is about to incur in going on the king's errand to the parts of
Scotland. Cancelled quia redditum fuit breve.
