Contrabreve to receive ten swans which Roger de Turkelby has given to the king at his manor of Aldeby, and carry them to Canterbury or Westminster by two days before Christmas at latest, according as he hears that the king is going to celebrate that feast. Liberate to Pelerin the Gascon (Gasconico) 161. for 10 tuns of Ospringe. wine, to Peter de Burgo 71. 10s. for 5 tuns, to Peter de Pergus 25 marks for.... tuns, to Bernard de Puteo 241. for 16 tuns, to Bertram de Palacio 35 marks for 14 tuns, to Peter de Germez 172 marks for 7 tuns, and to...... de Gailac 91. for 6 tuns, all taken from them for the king by the hand of John de Gisorc', his chamberlain of London, in the 38th year. To the sheriff of Norfolk. Contrabreve to repair where necessary the barrier (garioll') and palisade round the king's castle of Norwich, which were lately blown down by the wind, [the cost to be credited] by view. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to carry to Canterbury under a sure guard the king's wardrobe, which Bonacius de Melane, Richard de Ewelle, Andrew Puinnaunt and the clerk of Roger the tailor will prepare and deliver, for delivery there to Bonacius and Richard or one of them by ten or eight days before Christmas at latest.
