146 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1253. Membrane 1-cont. Liberate to Pelerin and Henry de Luka 4871. 10s. 2d. for silken cloth and lawn (sindon') bought of them by the same Richard and Roger. By P. Chaceporc. Liberate to John de Bosco 901. 13s. 6d. for woollen cloth bought of him. By P. Chaceporc. July 5. Allocate to Richard de Grey, keeper of the king's islands of Portsmouth. Geres' and Gerner', in the farm thereof, 151. yearly so long as he shall hold them, in lieu of lands of like value in the bailiwick of the islands assigned to Drew de Barentin. Note that Peter de Anes[eye] has received 71. 10s. in the wardrobe for Easter term in the 37th year of the yearly fee of 151. which he receives at the Exchequer. Liberate to John de Corebye, clerk of the king's chapel, the arrears of his daily fee of 3d. Cancelled quia non habuit. Note that Alfred de Suleny received in full in the wardrobe his fee of 201. for Michaelmas term in the 37th year and Easter term following, granted to him as long as he shall be in the king's service. July 6. Liberate to Richard le Estreys of Neubec 391. 19s. 6d. for wax Portsmouth. bought of him by Roger de Ros and Ralph de Duniun. Note that Bernard de Villa Honoris received 201. in the wardrobe at Portesmuth on his yearly fee of 201., for the 36th year. He received his whole fee at Easter. July 8. To the treasurer and chamberlains of Dublin. Liberate to Portsmouth. Master Robert Anketil, king's clerk, 40 marks yearly, that is, 20 marks at the coming Michaelmas Exchequer and 20 marks at that of Easter following, and so from year to year, according to the contents of the king's letters patent of provision which he has. (See Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1247-1258, p. 210.) These letters are patent. To the sheriff of Sussex. Contrabreve to pay 60s. of the king's gift out of the issues of the county to the friars minors of Chichester to pay their debts. To the sheriff of Lincoln. Contrabreve to pay 100 marks imprest without delay to Robert de Tatteshale, who is going with the king to Gascony.
