Walter de Brioyne 100s., to William Bloet 1008., to Matthew Morel 100s., and to John de Busceby 100s., all for Michaelmas term in this year, of their yearly fees of like amounts. Oct. 1. Liberate to Alan de Hispania 81. 16s. for 4 tuns of Gascon wine Westminster. bought of him for the king at 44s. the tun; to John de Gisorz 461. 4s. for 21 tuns of Gascon wine at 44s. the tun; to Odo de Nampnetis 481. for 24 tuns of Angevin wine at 40s.; to Vitalis le Gras 201. for 10 tuns of Angevin wine at 40s.; to Peter Daniel 441. for 20 tuns of Gascon wine at 44s.; to Richard Vital 221. for 10 tuns of Gascon wine at 44s.; to Roger de Haverhull 111. for 11 tuns of prisage-wine; and to the porters (barmannis) and for putting hoops on 33 tuns of prisage-wine, 21 marks. Computate to Nicholas de Molis, sheriff of York, in the issues of lands of the earl of Lincoln, 100 marks paid in the wardrobe to Peter Chaceporc and William de Burgo at Westminster on the morrow of Michaelmas. To the sheriff of Hereford. Contrabreve to carry 17 tuns of the king's wines which are in his keeping to Gloucester, and deliver them to the good men of Gloucester in lieu of 17 tuns due to them. To the sheriff of Stafford. Contrabreve to cause the abbot and convent of Roucestre to have 12 marks of the issues of the county to clothe themselves, and 2 marks to buy a tun of wine for the celebration of divine service, all of the king's gift. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to salt the venison taken in the king's park of Norhampton, which will be delivered to him by Hamo son of Philip, and carry it to Westminster for delivery in the king's larder. Oct. 1. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to find estovers for Westminster. Griffin son of L. and the other prisoners of Wales whom the king has sent to the Tower for safe keeping, from 2 October so long as they shall be in such keeping. Oct. 2. Liberate to Bertram de Cryoyl, constable of the Tower of Westminster. London, 20 marks for half a year from Christmas to Midsummer in this year, of the 40 marks which he receives yearly for keeping the Tower. Liberate to Peter de Confolent', messenger of the count of Bygor, to the latter's use, 1001. of the arrears both of his fee of 50 marks and of 5001. tournois which he receives yearly for the loss of his lands in the Limousin. To Walter de Tywe. Contrabreve to carry 31 oxen of the stock of Brikestok and 27 of that of Wudestok to Windles' for delivery to John de Ely and John de Colesdon, clerks of the kitchen.
