Contrabreve to cause the lands late of Th. earl of Warwick in his bailiwick to be well tilled with the earl's ploughs, bringing them back if they have been taken away, in whose hands soever they may be found, the cost to be credited by the view and testimony of lawful men; for John Marshal (marescallus) has given security to the king by Simon de Sandwico, John Mautravers, and Roger de Essex to answer for the cost if the corn of those lands comes to his hands. July 21. Liberate to Giles de Erdinton, to the use of Roesia de Cokefeld Westminster. his mother, 81. for the term of one year which she had in the king's manor of Kereseye, late of Hubert de Ruilly, and for the corn of the coming autumn there. (sic) spent on 4 serjeants keeping the king's peace there for 12 weeks, each receiving 6d. daily. To the bailiffs of Bristol. Contrabreve to cause William de Cantilupo the younger to have a good ship wherein to go with his followers to the king's island of Lunday, there to carry out the king's orders. July 20. Liberate to Robert Brumman and Roger Fegg' or one of them, Westminster. to the use of the king's men of Gernem', 301. in part payment of 901. due for herrings bought of them for the king's alms.
