Contrabreve to cause Joan late the wife of Thomas de Gorges to have 61. for Michaelmas term in the 25th year for the maintenance of herself and her children, of the 121. which Thomas used to receive of the sheriff every year; and the same 121. at the terms when Thomas used to receive them. To the keepers of the archbishopric of Canterbury. Contrabreve to cause the friar minors of Rumenhal to have 100s. out of the issues of the archbishopric for their clothing. Oct. (sic) 7. Liberate to Hubert, messenger of the king of Almain, 100s. of Reading. the king's gift. Liberate to the master of the Templars in England 50 marks of the king's fixed alms for Michaelmas term in the 25th year. Dec. 8. Liberate to John de Poyle, messenger of Peter Saracen (Saraceni), [Reading.] to the latter's use, 401. for the same term of his yearly fee of 401. MEMBRANE 14. The keeper of the lands late of J. de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, in co. York is commanded to maintain the earl's lands and castles which are in his keeping so that they do not deteriorate, the cost to be credited by view. The like to the keeper of the earl's lands in co. Leicester. The like to the keeper of the manor of Wadenho concerning the maintenance of the buildings. [Dec. 8.] Liberate to Bartholomew Peche, going as the king's messenger, Reading. 100s. of the king's gift, for his expenses. Dec. 9. Liberate to William son of Philip, messenger of Griffin de BrumReading. feld, to the use of the latter, 101. for Michaelmas term in the 25th year of the yearly fee of 201. granted to him during pleasure.
