CALDER, A. M. (Amer.). Contemporary Medallist, by whom is the following work: 888, medal of Academy of Natural Sciences at Philadelphia. Obverse has bust of Ferdinand V. Hayden, naturalist and geologist, AE 58. (Communication of Mr Eidlit<). CALDWELL & CO, J. E. (4Amer.). A Firm of Medallists and Dieengravers of Philadelphia, Penn. In I913 they issued the following medals: Atlantic Athletic Association. Field Day Award Medal; - The Feis; - First Families of Virginia; - Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company's First Aid Contest Award Medal; - University School Essay Award; - Order of Glacials; -Schuylkill Regatta; 60th Regatta, Philadelphia, June 2I S I903; - Medalets of Annual Meetings of the American Medical Association, etc. CALLISTUS, THOMAS (Ital.). Master of 1482. The Berlin Museum preserves a Bronze Relief representing an Offering to Minerva; circular, I28 mill. in diameter; inscribed: MCCCCLXXXII.II XII. IANVARY II TOMAS CAL'II STVS. Prize-medal of the 'Provincial Utrechtsch Genootschap van Kunsten in Weterschappen' (V.L.S., 400); - 1775. Bicentenary of Leyden University (V. L. S., 499); - I782. John Adams (V.L.S., 572); - I784. Silver Wedding of A. M Moliereand M. E. eron (V.L.S., 609);- 1787. Prize-medal of the Legaat van Johannes a Monnikhoff (V.L.S., 689); - Prince of Orange (V.L.S., 706); - I796. CALVERT (Brit.). Sculptor and Modeller in wax, flourished I767 -1783; pupil of James Moore. At the Exhibition of the ' Society of Arts' 1783 he sent six highly coloured wax portraits of Mr. Lewis of the R. Covent Garden Theatre.
