18 T-IE RELATIVE PRONOUN. [Par. 22. and parsed by itself, and afterwards the Relative Sentence - the pupil will have no difficulty. 22 In parsing the Relative Sentence, the Noun or Pronoun for which the Relative Pronoun is used - that is, its Antecedent' —should be written in brackets by the side of the Relative Pronoun. Thus, in parsing the Sentences of the next Exercise, write down the Principal and Relative Sentences as follows:Principal Sentence.... (1) " The jay was very soon punished for her robbery."
