Now "hare" is called the Object of the Verb "killed," and " Paris" the Object of the Preposition "towards." 13 " Object" means "put in the way." Just as a target is put in the way of the marksman, and is called the object at which he sloots, so the word or group of words answering to the question whom? or what? after a Verb or
