Confusion of Noun Construction. Distinguish "1 a little (of) pudding " from "a little," i.e. "1a small puddingr." See Pars. 213-44. 218 3. "1Many:" (1) "M1-any a man has tried, but few have succeeded." The Regrular Construction would be, "1Many men; " but this appears to have been confused with(2) "M4any times a man has tried."
