Place of issue uncertain; early 19th century. Fragmentary pack, consisting of the knight of clubs and Nos. II-XXI of the atouts. The latter are fanciful and grotesque subjects, mostly introducing animals. No inscriptions. Coarsely coloured. Backs decorated with a pattern of small stars, in red. 41 x 21 in. 169. Place of issue uncertain; early 19th century. Complete pack, with the usual natural history subjects on all the atouts, except the first and last, which represent a harlequin holding up a mirror and a man playing the guitar.
