-I. nyatoh. A valuable timber-tree; payena
costata.
j). nyadar. Fast asleep; sound asleep. Usually
nygdar.
pjrtr nyaris. Nearly; all but; just short of; just
about.
Batang teja di-dalam puwan,
Raris hilang dengan permata;
A bang menentang durja-mu, tuwan,
Nyariskan hilang badan kakanda:
when I saw you, my fair one, face to face, I
nearly died (of longing for your beauty); Ht.

In some cases nyaris ta' is used in the sense
"all but."
Dato' Penghulu dudok berkikir,

Maha-nyaring: most clear or distinct, of
sound; very shrill.
u nyarap. (Riau, Johor.) To close an orifice
with a stopper; to plug or cork up anything.
eV nyapang. A friend, a companion. Jangan
di-lepaskan takut terkijut nyapang: do not let
it go or your friend may be frightened; Ht.

api-pun bgrnyala-nyala-lah laksana api raja
Namreld heidak menmbakar nabi Allah Ibrahim

Menyala: to glow, to flare up.., nyamok. A mosquito. Darah ny.: mosquito
blood. Tepok nyanmok menjadi daki: if you
slap a mosquito it is turned into filth (on your
body); a choice of unpleasant alternatives;
