CORR ECTIONS
I. In no. 40 (B I, 33a), 11. 5-6, a-na it-mie I mti-ta-be el-ti in
a-di-Shm must be read in the text and 'I gave him' in the translation; further, the note on 1. 6, as well as those in J.R.A.S.,
1927, 891 and 894, must be deleted.
II. A comparison of ha-ti-iik it wa-dn-tv-r (L.7, 14; cp. L. 95, 19 and
32) with ba-ti-ik t S1.A (B III 10, 24) shows that Sl.A, though
apparently written as two signs, is rightly read D[R[(G) by Contenau (T. T. C., 52- 53); for DiJR(G) = (w)ataru (Briinnow, C!. L. Id.,
3729). It seems, therefore, very plausible to translate nish/azu
DIRI(G) by die Abgaben davon sind beigeflqgt (-.sie sind,' extra", nicht in der Sznmme enthalte') and sadcttazu iahdt by nit
den Verdient en daran stnd sie gesattiqt (Le'wy). The note on Ino.
28 1. 7 is to be deleted.
