That merchant is the bearer of the tablet. ~ A duplicate of the sworn tablets has been transferred as security (?). LI. 12 and 38. Lewy's translation of taklam (acc.) in 1. 12 as an ad'. 'trustworthy' agreeing with A.'ur-rna/ik (gen.) is disproved' by its case and in 1. 38 as standing for the proper name by the absence of the prep. ana 'to'; cp. B I 4, 48. Is it not an acc. case used adverbially? L. 16. That the sign has the value ((4 /6 )) is proved by L 241, 3-8. L. 30 The month here named can be read either Takmaria (Smith) or, more probably, Taminarta (Lewy; cp. Weidner in Bab. vi,174).
