Babyloniaca, études de philologie assyro-babylonienne.

256 ST. LANGDON myth according to which Marduk, son of the god of the sea, consults his father concerning the afflicted, probably belongs to the ritual of the water-cult. The myth was, however, worked into all the cults and it is precisely the cc house of light, texts which have preserved the original Sumerian versions. With the help of parallel texts the Constantinople tablet can be considerably restored; Dr. HUBER's text does not give one the assurance of having been copied correctly at all points. I give here an interpretation which may, of course, suffer some alteration when more material is published. OBV. 1. en e-sir-[ru] 2. galu-ra sag-gig-gi 3. gu-mu-mal-mal1 4.
