P1. 22 SBP 284 ff. The sign read usan, 11. 1-8 is of course gil-sa'
(BR. 1398).' gilsa means, c4 treasure, skilled work ),,.kukuttu. The
phrase, a-gil-sa (a noun formation with prefixed a) may have the same
meaning. Nevertheless the passage is not at all clear. One might
hazard the following translation
1. "4 For the city, alas the treasures i), my soul doth sigh.
2. "For my city, Girsu, alas the treasures,,, etc.
3. "For the brick-walls of Sirpurla, alas the treasures, etc.
4. "For the abode of my temple Ninnii, etc. etc.
Lines 18 f., for dt g (HA) read gm'g, and substitute " desolated, for
estranged i, in SBP.
L. 20, im-6k4 di-di, " come thou thyself (?),
