To the sheriff of Surrey. Contrabreve to pay 508. yearly as
wages to each of two chaplains ministering in the chapel of the
king's castle of Gudeford, and to one in the hospital of that town,
as long as he shall retain his office.
July 18..To the sheriff of Lancaster. Contrabreve to spend up to 500
Marlborough. marks out of the issues of his bailiwick by view and testimony of
lawful men on the works enjoined at Lancaster castle, seeing that
he has not retained that sum for the purpose as lately ordered
out of the issues of the last forest eyre in the county, but has
paid them and other issues of the eyre at the Exchequer, as is

To Alan la Zuche, justice of Chester. Contrabreve to receive
100 bucks which Hugh le Fraunceys (Franciscus) and Robert de
Edmundestorp, king's serjeants, will take in the king's parks
of Darnhale and Makelesfeld and deliver, to salt them by view
and counsel of the said serjeants, and carry them to Westminster
against the coming feast of St. Edward for delivery to the keeper
of the king's larder there. By the steward.

To the same. Like order as to 120 stags to be taken in the
forests of co. Chester by Philip and Richard de Caundevere the
king's huntsmen.
