Allocate to John de Aure, escheator in co. Somerset, in the issues of the lands late of Robert de Bello Campo, 24 marks 7s. 6d. delivered to Robert Walerand for the works at the king's tower of Cardigan. By K. Witnessed by R. Walerand. April 26. Liberate to Master Henry the king's surgeon 1008. for Easter Windsor. term in the 36th year, of the 101. yearly granted to him at the Exchequer till the king shall provide him with lands to that amount. By K. Allocate to James le Gaunter, in the farm of the king's town of Windesores, 111. delivered for the king's works at Windesores to the keepers thereof. By testimony of the keepers and by tally. To the constable of St. Briavels. Contrabreve to fell 10 oaks for timber in the forest of Dene and carry them to the king's castle of Bristol for the works there. By K. To the bailiffs of Bristol. Contrabreve to buy 4 fothers of lead and carry them to Kermerthin to roof the king's tower there. By K. To Godfrey de Lystun. Contrabreve to pay 25s. to each of the king's six chaplains ministering in the chapels of Windesores for their wages from Easter to Michaelmas in the 36th year, as each receives 50s. yearly therefor. Contrabreve to fell 30 oaks without delay in the forest of Dene, and carry them to the king's castle of Bristol for delivery to the keepers of the king's works to make timber therefor. By K. Contrabreve to pay 50 marks without delay to Walter de Burges out of the first money which he can get in his bailiwick, in lieu of the 50 marks granted to Walter out of the fine made for her marriage by Isabel de Muscamp, one of the heirs of Robert de Muscamp.
