2001. for which he has letters patent (Calendar of Patent Rolls,

Liberate to William le Ruter the king's carpenter, who receives
3d. daily at the Exchequer, his livery from Easter in the 36th
year till Michaelmas following. By K.
To the sheriff of Dorset. Contrabreve to pay 61. to Joan de
Gorges for Easter term in the 36th year, being arrears of the
121. which she has been used to receive yearly for her maintenance.

April 23. To the sheriff of Somerset and Dorset. Contrabreve to receive
Windsor. 4 harts which Philip and Richard de Caundovere the king's
huntsmen will take in the king's copse (brullio) of Ceddre, and
6 which they will take in the king's warren of Corf, and will
deliver to the sheriff, and salt the venison and carry it to Westminster against Whitsuntide for delivery to the keeper of the
king's larder. By the steward.
To the constable of St. Briavels. Contrabreve to admit
William Luvel and Henry de Candovere the king's huntsmen,
whom the king is sending to take 20 bucks in the forest of Dene,
and salt the bucks and carry them to Westminster as above.

Liberate to Guy de Rupe Forti at the coming Easter Exchequer
551. to acquit himself against Guy de Lezignan. The king has
received his own letters patent authorizing the said acquittance
at the coming Michaelmas Exchequer (Calendar of Patent Rolls,
1247-1258, p. 131), and wishes that the money be delivered to
Guy de Lezignan in hand. By K.
To the bailiffs of Suhampton. Contrabreve to pay for 8 tuns
of wine at Portesm' and 32 tuns at Suhampton, all of the rightful
prisage, to be delivered by Roger le Flemeng, taker of the king's
wines, in whose keeping they are, and to carry 20 tuns thereof
to Winchester, 16 to Clarendon, and 4 to Lutegarsale, to place
in the king's cellars there.
Mandate to Roger accordingly. By the steward.
To the bailiffs of Bristol. Contrabreve to carry 20 tuns of
wine to Merleberge, 20 to Wudestok, 20 to Gloucester, 14 to
Hereford, 14 to Worcester, 10 to Bruges, 2 to Wenlok, and 20 to
Shrewsbury, to place in the king's cellars there, out of 120 which
Robert de Dacre, taker of the king's wines, will deliver atBristol.
Mandate to Robert to take and deliver the same.
