To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to repair where absolutely
necessary the outer bridge of Canterbury castle and the inner
bridge towards the tower, the cost to be credited by view and
testimony.
To Nicholas de Haudlou, keeper of the bishopric of Winchester.
The like concerning the buildings of the castle of Wlveseye.
Jan. 22. To William de Glouc', keeper of the exchange. Contrabreve
St. Denis. to let Richard de Ewell have 1631. 9s. 4d. of the first moneys
coming from the issues of the exchange to pay for the robes of the
clerks and serjeants who were with the king in France and had
no robes against Christmas last, although the king's knights had.
July 29. Liberate to Peter de Gysorciis the king's chamberlain of London
Westminster. 10 marks for 2 tuns of white wine taken in London on the Thursday after St. James last [to send to Windsor] t for the queen,
as certified by Peter de Haring' her butler.
July 30. Liberate to Baldwin de Villa 20 marks of the king's gift for his
Westminster. expenses. By K. and J. Mansell.
To the Exchequer of Dublin. Allocate to Master William de
Bakepuz, escheator in Ireland, in the issues of his bailiwick,
10 marks for Michaelmas term in the 28th (rectius 38th?) year,
10 marks for Easter term and 10 marks for Michaelmas term in
the 39th year, and 10 marks for Easter term in the 40th year, of
the 20 marks granted to him to maintain himself in his said
office, unless these sums have already been allowed to him by
another writ. By K. The bishop of London gave the order.
July 30. To the same. Allocate in like manner to the same William
Westminster. 10 marks for Michaelmas term in the 41st year, 10 marks for
Easter term and 10 marks for Michaelmas term in the 42nd year,
10 marks for Easter term and 10 marks for Michaelmas term
in the 43rd year, and 10 marks for Easter term in the 44th year,
and so on yearly as long as he is employed in that office all of the

Aug. 1. Liberate to brother Martin, prior of St. Thomas's of Dune,
Westminster. Roger de Auters', and Roger de Dun, lately coming to the king
