Allocate to William de Huntirkumbe, in his debts at the Exchequer on account of the wardship of the land and heir of Ralph de Hodeng, of the debts of Elias le Eveske, now converted, 101. delivered last year to Thomas Esporun of the king's gift for the maintenance of the sons of Elias, who are converted. By the justiciar. Feb. 27. Liberate without delay to Master Thomas de Wimundeham Westminster. 20 marks, and to Gilbert de Preston 20 marks, for their expenses concerning the extent which they are to make of the lands which Simon de Monte Forti, earl of Leicester, holds of the king in tenancy (tenenciam). To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to let the chaplain ministering in the king's chapel at Northampton castle have 50s. for his wages for this year as in other years. To the sheriff of Norfolk. Contrabreve to carry Thomas de Tudeham, Roger Frank, and Adam le Palfreur, approvers detained in the king's prison of Norwich, safely to London for delivery to the keeper of the gaol of Neugate. Mandate to the keeper of Neugate to receive them and keep them safely till further orders. Feb. 28. To Richard de Freitmantel, keeper of the manors of Cokham Westminster. and Braye. Contrabreve to pay out of the issues of his bailiwick, by view and testimony of lawful men, the cost of amending the enclosure of the king's park of Windesores, as will be enjoined by Thomas Gresley, justice of the forest this side Trent, who was lately commanded to amend the same where necessary. To the same. Contrabreve to repair where absolutely necessary the pond of the king's stew in the park of Windesores, which has been broken by a flood, and likewise the bridges thereof, the cost to be credited by view and testimony of lawful men. March 1. Liberate to John de Wyvill, going with Master Thomas de Westminster. Wymundeham and Gilbert de Preston (as in 5th entry above), 20 marks for his expenses. March 1.
