Contrabreve to let Ralph de Erlam have 41. out of the issues of the escheatry for arrears of his wages from St. Peter's Chains in the 43rd year till the feast of St. Edward following for keeping and training (adaptacione) the king's falcons in his keeping, as reckoned by Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Wynton, clerks of the wardrobe. Nov. 13. To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to let the prior and friars Dover. preachers of Canterbury have 201. of the king's gift without delay out of the issues of the county to pay their expenses in building a kitchen on their ground at Canterbury and a wall adjoining thereto. Allocate to Fulk* Pemforer, sheriff of Kent, in the issues of the county, 100s. delivered to Peter de Chauvent to buy himself a palfrey of the king's gift. Nov. 13. Allocate to the same in the same issues 20 marks delivered in Dover. the wardrobe at Canterbury to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, keepers thereof, on the feast of St. Martin in this year. Liberate to Richard de Muneto 16 marks arrears for Easter term last of the yearly fee of 40 marks which he receives at Easter term, and also as soon as possible the arrears of that fee for which there are writs of liberate at the Exchequer. Allocate to the bailiffs of Rochester in the farm of their town 101. delivered in the wardrobe at Dover to Aubrey de Fiscampis and Peter de Winton, clerks thereof, on Wednesday, the morrow of St. Martin. Nov. 13. To the sheriff of Kent. Contrabreve to let Emma the anchoress Dover. of Dover castle have lid. daily for her maintenance for life out of the issues of the county so long as he is sheriff, the king wishing to provide perpetually therefor (as in Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1258-1266, p. 63). Afterwards he was ordered to let her have the money at four terms of the year. To the same.
