April 7. To the sheriff of Salop. Contrabreve to let the chaplain ministerWestminster. ing in the king's chapel of Bruges have 50s. yearly for his wages as
usual.
Mandate to John de Crachale, treasurer, to pull down the fireplace in the king's chamber at Westminster, because it is in bad
condition, and to make a good strong fireplace there directly after
the parliament to be held after Easter; and the king will make
him a writ of liberate when he knows the cost incurred.
To Peter de Leye, bailiff of Haneberge and Blockesham.
Contrabreve to let the keepers of the works of the king's chapel
at Wodestok have 301. 6s. 3d. out of the farm of the said manors
for this Easter term to pay for the said works and to finish the
glass windows of the chapel.
April 2. Liberate to Richard de Ewell 101. for this Easter term of the
Westminster. 201. which he receives yearly to maintain himself in the office of
buyer for the wardrobe.
Liberate without delay to Robert Waleraund 50 marks for his
expenses in setting out on the king's errand to the parts of France
with the earl of Gloucester and Peter de Sabaudia.
April 16. Liberate without delay to Bartholomew Lespecer 211. 13s. 2d.
Merton. for almonds, figs, and other kinds of spices taken from him long
ago for the queen, as witnessed by her, for which he has not yet

April 14. To the bailiffs of Havering. Contrabreve to let Adam, parker
Westminster. of the king's park of Havering, have 1id. daily for his livery as
formerly for keeping the park from Michaelmas in the 42nd year
till Easter following, and so on as long as they have the keeping
of the manor.
Liberate to Ralph de Hotot, king's clerk, 101. for this Easter
term of the 201. which it was provided that he should receive to'
maintain himself so long as he sits at the Exchequer of the
Jews.
