Contrabreve to repair without delay where absolutely necessary out of the farm of the manor the buildings of the castle of Harestan, which is in his keeping, the cost to be credited by view and testimony of lawful men. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let William Taillard, sacrist of Westminster, have a hundredweight (unum centum) of wax without delay of the king's gift out of the farm of the city. Liberate without delay and without fail to Edward the king's son, 300 marks of the 500 marks granted to him of the king's gift to maintain his war in Wales. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to carry 10 tuns of wine to Merton, 30 to Windsor, 6 to St. Albans, 4 to Waltham, and the other 100 to Westminster, out of 150 to be taken and delivered to them by Thomas Esporun and Matthew Bukerel the king's chamberlains of London, and to place them safely in the king's cellars there. Jan. 16. To William de Riston, bailiff of Wodestok. Contrabreve to Windsor. spend up to 1008. out of the issues of the manor in repairing the king's buildings at Wodestok and the chancery buildings at Hensinton by view and testimony of Master John de Glouc' the king's mason. To Henry de Farleye, keeper of the forest of Wyndesores. Contrabreve to let the keepers of the king's works at Westminster have 6 boatloads of brushwood from old leafless trunks in the forest, and to carry them by the water of Thames to Westminster for delivery to the said keepers to make a limekiln for their works. Liberate to Deutautus Guillelmi 1971. for 78 tuns of purchased wine and 2 tuns of wine of lawful prisage, to Philip the tailor 461. 13s. 4d. for 20 tuns of purchased wine, to William the tailor 461. 13s. 4d. for the like, to William de Senun* (?) and Gocelin, treasurer * of Master Rostand, 941. 6s. 8d. for 40 tuns purchased * Membrane damaged.
