king's request to the king's sister Margaret viscountess of Thouars
on the arrears of the fee due to her, as the sheriff of Hants was
commanded to pay it out of the issues of the manor of Aulton
for the 41st year, but returned the writ without doing so.
Liberate to W. de Valencia the king's brother 411. 18s. ld.
for which a tally was made out to him of the arrears of his fee for
Easter term last, this sum not having been allowed him as commanded by a former writ.
Liberate without delay to John de Norhampton, citizen of
London, 2871. 28. 2d. for furs taken from him by the hands of
Roger le Taylur (Cissoris) and Hugh de Turri, takers for the
wardrobe in the 41st year, when Artald de Sancto Romano was
keeper.
To Stephen Fromund, bailiff of Merleberg. Contrabreve to
carry all the wines which are in the king's cellars at Merleberg,
which the keepers thereof will deliver, to Wyndesores with all
speed to place in the king's cellars there, not failing hereof as he
loves himself and all his possessions, seeing that the king has to
make a longer stay than he thought in the parts of London and
Wyndesores on account'of difficult business.
Liberate to Huel son of Maddok 30 marks of the king's gift to
maintain himself in the king's service till Whitsuntide next.
To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to pay out of their farm
for wines which the king has enjoined Philip Luvel the treasurer
to buy in London, to the amount of 200 marks.
To the same. Contrabreve to receive 10 tuns of wine which
Matthew Bukerel the king's chamberlain of London will take for
the queen in London, and will deliver, and to carry them to
Wyndesores.
To Henry de Farel. Contrabreve to let the king's five chaplains
of Wyndesores, each of whom receives 50s. yearly, have their
wages out of the issues of his bailiwick from Michaelmas in the
41st year till Easter following, being 25s. each.
To John Pelard. Contrabreve to deliver 131. 78., which he
received from the pannage of the king's park at Wyndesores, to
the keeper of the king's works at Wyndesores for those works.
Nov. l. To the sheriff of Somerset. Contrabreve to receive 6 hinds and
all the does which the king ordered William le Chanu, yeoman of
Robert Walerand the king's steward, to take in the forest of
