41 HENRY III. 401 1257. Membrane 1-cont. Liberate to Maunsell the king's tailor 23 marks to make the king's pavilions; to John de Ely and Peter le Clerk 201. for carriage of the king's harness from London to Chester, as reckoned at the Exchequer; to Henry de Frowyk 101. for a buckle which the king offered at the feretory of St. Edward on the feast of his Translation; and to Garsias de Say and Sanadus de Perky 1461. 4s. for 8,600 pounds of wax taken by Philip Luvel the treasurer. To William de Sancta Ermina, keeper of the manor of Havering. Contrabreve to let Richard, the chaplain ministering in the king's chapel of Havering, who receives 50s. yearly for his wages, have 25s. out of the issues of the manor from Easter to Michaelmas in this year, and 50s. yearly thenceforward so long as Richard remains keeper. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let Roger le Fevere, making the king's quarrels in the Tower, have 41d. daily for his wages from Michaelmas in this year till Michaelmas following, and meanwhile iron, coal, a millstone, and other things necessary therefor by view of the constable of the Tower. Liberate to Roger de Whytestre 20 marks for this Michaelmas term (as on p. 364). Liberate to the king's sisters Isabel, lady of Crown, and Margaret, viscountess of Toarch', 300 marks on the arrears of their fee. Liberate to Matthias de Mara 10 marks for this Michaelmas term of his yearly fee of 20 marks. Allocate to Hugh de Molendino and John de Cruce, the king's bailiffs of Kingeston, 8s. llid. spent in carriage of 8 tuns of wine from Kingeston to Westminster, 6 tuns to Merton, and 1 tun to Kenington last Lent, as reckoned by Imbert Pugeys the king's steward. Oct. 28. Allocate to the same, in the farm of their town, 37s. for pike Westminster. and 68. for 300 lamperns (lampron') and 12s. 6d. for fresh fish, all bought for the king against the feast of St. Edward last, as reckoned by Imbert Pogeys the king's steward. Liberate to S. de Monte Forti, earl of Leicester, 2001. for this Michaelmas term of the 4001. which he receives yearly (as on pp. 272-3); and mandate to levy it from the heirs of Walter Marshal, formerly earl of Pembroke. 26-(22)
