Contrabreve to repair the roofing and gutters of the king's buildings at Wudestok, where absolutely necessary, spending up to 100s. by view of good and lawful men, unless it can be done for less; the cost to be credited by view. To the bailiff of Havering. Contrabreve to finish the queen's chapel formerly begun there, by the counsel of Master John de Glovernia, appointed thereto as above, the cost to be credited by view. To Godfrey de Liston. Contrabreve to let John Pollard, porter (janitori) of the castle of Wyndesores, have 32 marks, being 20s. for making the chamber in which he lies, and 2 marks for making a candlestick there. April 5. Allocate to Robert Walerand, keeper of the bishopric of Ely, Westminster. in the issues thereof, 1331. 6s. 8d. delivered in the wardrobe at Westminster to Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper, on the Wednesday after Palm Sunday. To the sheriff of Essex. Contrabreve to receive 20 bucks, to be taken in the park of Havering and delivered to him by Hugh the Frenchman, king's serjeant, and salt them and carry them to Westminster for delivery to the keeper of the larder against Easter. Mandate to the keeper of the park to admit Hugh therefor. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to let John the chaplain, the king's almoner, have 171 pairs of shoes for the poor at Westminster on the fourth day before Easter, half to be worth 5d. the pair and half to be worth 4d., to be distributed on behalf of the king and queen and their children. To John de Somerchot, keeper of the exchange. Contrabreve to let the king have 300 silver dishes weighing 2 marks each and 300 silver sauce-boats weighing half a mark each without delay by parcel, out of the issues of the exchanges of London and Canterbury, setting aside all other business, and not failing hereof as he loves himself and the king's honour. To Godfrey de Liston. Contrabreve to repair and amend where necessary the queen's old chamber in the upper bailey of the castle of Windesores, and make a new wardrobe for the queen there, all out of the issues of his bailiwick, by the advice and provision of Master John de Gloucestria, the king's mason, and
