Liberate to Roger de Messenden, king's clerk, 101. for the same term of the yearly fee of 201. granted to him till the king shall make ampler provision for him. Liberate without delay to the king's clerk Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper of the wardrobe, 2001. for the expenses of the household. Liberate to Master Alan the cook, king's serjeant, 111. 16s. 4d. for 3 palfreys, saddles, capes, and other small matters of harness bought for brother John de Derlingeton and his companion, in addition to the payment of 41. 3s. 3d. already ordered (3rd entry on this membrane). May 1. Liberate to William de Valencia 1901. for Easter term in the Windsor. 40th year of his yearly fee of 5001., after payments to Count Thomas de Sabaudia and others as above. Note that the deductions of the said fee are enrolled in the writ of liberate which he had on 2 April in the 39th year (p. 202). Liberate to Guy Peverau, after payments as above, 801. arrears for the 37th, 38th, 39th, and 40th years of the fee of 901. granted to him yearly at the Easter Exchequer. Cancelled quia aliter inferius. Liberate to the same Guy, after payments as above, 401. in part payment of the said arrears. Liberate to Richard de Munbiliard, after payments as above, 60 marks for Easter term in the 40th year of his yearly fee of 60 marks. May 2. Liberate to Richard de Muneto, after payment as above, 40 Windsor. marks for the same term of his yearly fee of 40 marks. Liberate to Peter de Monteforti, after payment as above, 50 marks for the same term of his yearly fee of 50 marks. Liberate to Peter de Chaunteny and Aymo and Guy his sons, after payments as above, 20 marks in part payment of their fees for the same term. They had another liberate as appears above (1st entry on this membrane). Liberate to S. de Monte Forti, earl of Leicester, after payments as above, 2001. for Easter term in the 39th year, 2001. for Michaelmas term following, and 2001. for Easter term in the 40th year, of the 4001. which he receives yearly as dower of his wife Eleanor the king's sister in Ireland, for which the king is surety.
