Liberate to Reynold de Salines 100s. for William de Arboys, receiving from him the king's letters patent therefor (Calendar of Patent Rolls, 1247-1258, p. 379). Cancelled quia inferius per breve de computabitur. To the sheriff of Nottingham. Contrabreve to pay 101. to Reynold de Salynes for Michaelmas term in the 39th year of his yearly fee of 201. March 7. St. Edmunds. Mandate to the barons to enrol and keep the terms of payment by Henry de Hanehuth of 2 marks yearly till the debt of 21 marks, balance of the fine of Thomas his father, whose heir he is, shall be fully paid off to the king, who has learnt in his passage through the parts of Suffolk, that the whole of Henry's land does not exceed the yearly value of 2 marks. Allocate to William de Suyneford, sheriff of Norfolk and Suffolk, in the farm of those counties, 16s. 8d. spent on purchase of a robe delivered to Fortunatus de Luka, king's knight, of the king's gift. Allocate to Matthew Bukerel and John le Myneur, sheriffs of London, in the farm of the city, 23s. 4d. spent in purchase of 25 gallons of nut-oil in London delivered to the keepers of the king's larder, in carriage thereof from London to the king at St. Edmund's, and in barrels and cords for that purpose. To the sheriff of Lincoln. Contrabreve to pay 71. 4s. to Hermann de Buttebir', king's yeoman, being arrears of his wages when last with the king in Gascony from the Sunday after St. Dunstan till the Thursday after the Translation of St. Edward, as reckoned by Ralph Lof, clerk of the marshalsea. MEMBRANE 12. March 15. To Gilbert de Tegula, bailiff of the town of Windesores. ContraWalsingham. breve to pay 5 marks without delay to brother William the painter of Westminster to renew and amend certain paintings in the king's and queen's chambers and the chapels at Windesores. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to cause the king's gerfalcon which is in the keeping of Thomas de Hauvyle to be mewed at Brikestok, finding for it Id. daily and for its keeper lid. daily for his livery so long as it is in moult.
