27~0 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1256. Membrane 14-cont. feast of St. Edward last past, delivered to the king's poulterers as testified before the king by William de Grey his steward. Liberate to Philip le Tayllur, merchant of London, 40s. for 2 tuns of prisage-wine bought of him in London by the hand of John de Gisorciis the king's chamberlain there. Feb. 7. To the sheriff of Hereford. Contrabreve to pay without delay Woodstock. to Imbert de Munferaunt, whom the king is sending on his errand to Ireland, 30 marks of the king's gift for his expenses. To Godfrey de Lystone. Contrabreve to pay 20 marks without delay to Katharine the king's daughter, dwelling at Windesores, to meet the expenses of herself and her household. Feb. 11. Allocate to William le Latimer, sheriff of York, in the issues of [Woodstock.] the county, 661. 138. 4d. delivered in the wardrobe at Wodestok to Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper, on Thursday, the feast of St. Scholastica in the 40th year. Liberate to Deutaytus the king's merchant 100 marks of the king's gift for his praiseworthy service. By the bishop of Hereford and Master Rostand the pope's chaplain for the affair of Apulia. Allocate to Godfrey de Lyston, in the issues of his bailiwick, 91. 10s. delivered in the wardrobe at Windesores to Artald de Sancto Romano, keeper, on the Monday after St. Katherine in the 40th year, of the pannage of the park of Windesores for the 39th year. To Sampson de Bremesgrave, bailiff of Feckenham. Contrabreve to repair the king's hall, chambers, chapels, and kitchens at Feckenham, and the paling round the courtyard, where absolutely necessary, out of his farm, the cost to be credited by view. Feb. 13. To the sheriff (corrected from mayor and bailiffs) of Oxford. Woodstock. Contrabreve to pay for the 500 pounds of wax which Andrew Poynaunt took for the king in Oxford. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to cause six of the king's falcons which are in the keeping of Ralph de Erlham to be mewed at Geytendon, finding for each falcon id. daily, the like as necessaries for each of three of the king's greyhounds, and ljd. daily as livery for a groom keeping them all so long as the falcons are in moult.
