252 CALENDAR OF LIBERATE ROLLS. 1255. Membrane 18-cont. Liberate to William de Grey 61. 10s. for the same term of his yearly fee of 131. Nov. 13. Liberate to Reynold de Monte Sancti Leodegarii 40 marks Windsor. arrears down to Michaelmas in the 39th year of his yearly fee of 10 marks. Nov. 13. Contrabreve to carry 10 tuns of white wine, to be delivered by Windsor. John de Gisorciis the king's chamberlain of London from the king's wines at Westminster, to the king at Windesores with speed for delivery to his butlers there. To the sheriff of Northumberland. Contrabreve to repair the king's buildings in the castle of Bamburg where absolutely necessary at the least possible cost, which will be credited by view. Liberate to Ralph son of Nicholas 10 marks for Michaelmas term in the 39th year of the 20 marks granted to him yearly so long as he shall have the keeping of the castle of Notingham. Liberate to Peter Roberti 30 marks for Michaelmas terms in the 37th, 38th and 39th years of the yearly fee of 10 marks granted to him to maintain himself in the king's service. Liberate to Emeric de Sonevyle and John and Ernald his brothers 751. 6s. 8d., being four years' arrears of their yearly fee of 201., receiving from them the king's letters patent therefor. Note that this fee is in arrears for Michaelmas term in the 39th year. To the sheriff of Devon. Contrabreve to pay 1008. without delay to Ralph de Gorges, king's yeoman, of the king's gift for the maintenance of his wife and children, as he has been disinherited on the king's account, and has no means of maintenance except what the king finds for him by an impulse (intuitu) of charity. Liberate to John^ de Monte Acuto, merchant of Nerbun, and Peter Arnaldi, merchant of Gaylak, 10 marks for their expenses, in part payment of the king's debts to them. Liberate to Artald de Sancto Romano, king's clerk, keeper of the wardrobe, 2001. to pay the expenses of the household. Liberate to the king's sister Isabel, lady of Crohun, 50 marks for Michaelmas term in the 39th year of her yearly fee of 100 marks, and 60 marks for the same term of the 60 marks granted to her till the king shall make provision for her in lands of that value
