Liberate to Edward [? de Westm'] 10 marks spent in purchase Westminster. of a cope of samite of the king's gift for John, prior of Newburgh, the king's chaplain. Liberate to William Hasard, formerly yeoman of Ralph de Haya, 2 marks of the king's gift which the king while in Gascony ordered Philip Lovel to pay him, and which he did not get. Allocate to W. bishop of Worcester, in his debts to the king, 25 marks paid to Master Peter de Teyo of the king's gift. To the constable of St. Briavels. Contrabreve to let John Malemort, forger of the king's quarrels at St. Briavels, have iron, coal, lard, bran, wood, a millstone, and barrels to hold (impennandos in error for imponendos) the quarrels as he shall see fit and as John has been used to have them, from the time when he himself received the keeping of the castle so long as he retains it. Feb. 10. Liberate to Master Henry the versifier during his life the 3d. Westminster. daily which the king had granted to John de Corbye, ceasing the payments to John, and paying any arrears due to him to Henry. Liberate to Bertram de Crioyl 81. for 4 tuns of wine taken from him and consumed (expensis) in the household when the king was last at Dover, and to Adam Champeneys of Withsand 41. for 2 tuns taken from him and consumed in the household when the king was last at Canterbury. Liberate to Peter de Saltu 341. for 17 tuns of wine, and to Vigeros' de Bro 40s. for 1 tun, taken from them against the king's arrival in England by the hands of Richard Oysel, king's clerk, 12 tuns whereof were sent to Dover castle, and the other six consumed in the household when the king was last at Canterbury. To the bailiffs of Brehull. Contrabreve to pay 201. to Richard de Hurel and Joan his wife for the share falling to her by inheritance of the serjeanty late of Geoffrey de Bagesete in the forest of Windesores, which the king has bought (comparavimus) from them and the other heirs of Geoffrey together with the land of Bagesete.
