Membrane 5-cont. spent in buying a barge at Keniton to keep in the Thames there; 53s. 4d. spent in buying two painted pictures and placing them before the altar of the chapel in the king's park of Windesores; 28s. 6d. spent in clearing the stew in the park of stumps and roots, 18s. in making a preserve (deposito) to keep the fish meanwhile, and 4s. 6d. in keeping the fish; 6s. spent on wax for the said chapel during six years; and 12s. spent in buying hay to keep the deer (bestias) in the king's park in winter. Liberate to Oliver de Staunford and his fellows, serjeants of the king's chapel, 59s. 2d. for 142 pounds of wax used in sealing the king's writs from the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul in the 37th year till the feast of St. Matthias in the 38th year.
