Liberate to Adam de Basing 131. 2d. for a gold-wrought cloth Reading. given at St. Albans, two copes of violet sent to Merleberg, a gold-wrought cloth offered at the altar of St. Edward and a chasuble and an alb given to Henry de Gaunt, warden of the hospital of Bristol; 26s. 6d. for making a cope out of one green gold-wrought cloth, for one wide orphrey therefor and one narrow, and for a cloth with three fringes and waxed cloth for the same cope; 81. 4s. 5d. for two wide orphreys for making two copes of samite... narrow orphreys, 58 flowers, 11 fringes, waxed cloth, and silken cloth for edging the copes; 81. 5d. for... half a red samite for making a striped cope, and one wide one middling, and seven narrow orphreys for a cloth for the same; 301. 6s. 8d. for one red samite to make a striped cloth with (de) orphreys, 12 orphreys for the same, and 18 ells of linen (tele); 461. 5s. 10d. for an embroidered cope given to the church of St. Peter, Westminster, another embroidered cope, 10 ells of linen to make an alb and an amice, and embroidered ornaments (parur') and a stole, maniple (fanone), gloves (manicul') and collar (lambell') given to the abbot of Persour; 281. 9s. 4d. for a tunic and dalmatic given to the minister of Undeslawe, 20 ells of linen, 20 ells of canvas, saffron purple-wrought cloth (purpretura), and embroidery, 9 orphreys and 2 other orphreys for making a banner, and cost of making it; and 12 marks for a cope and a chasuble of samite sent to the king's chapel of Shrewsbury.
