Contrabreve to make two small cupboards in the king's upper wardrobe in his castle at Winchester where his cloths are kept, one on each side of the fireplace with two loopholes (archeris), and a partition (interclusum) of board across the wardrobe in like manner; the cost to be credited by view. Jan. 6. Liberate without delay to Ebulo de Rupe Forti 100 marks in Westminster. hand for next Easter and Michaelmas terms of the yearly fee of 100 marks granted to him for life. The like to Charles de Rupe Forti for 50 marks of his yearly fee of 50 marks. To the sheriff of Gloucester. Contrabreve to carry John de Frome, clerk, taken for the death of the prior of Campagne, and to be delivered at Gloucester by the sheriff of Oxford and Berks, under a sure guard to Hereford for delivery to the bishop of Hereford or his steward. Liberate to Savaric de Vivona, whom the king has knighted, 40 marks of the king's gift. Allocate to William de Insula, sheriff of Norhampton, in the farm of that county, 3~d. daily from the feast of St. George till Michaelmas spent on four gerfalcons and their keeper, which are in the keeping of Henry de Hauvill. Allocate to the same in issues of his county, 28s. for 4 boars (braonibus) sent to Westminster, and 6s. 8d. for salt to salt 41 bucks, all against the Translation of St. Edward in the 36th year. To the sheriff of Berks and Oxford. Contrabreve to bring John de Frome (as above), whom the king's constable of Windesores will deliver there, under a sure guard to Gloucester for delivery to the sheriff of Gloucester to carry whither the king has enjoined. To Richard de Grey, bailiff of the islands of Geres' and Gerner'. Contrabreve to pay 100 marks to John de Grey, keeper of the king's castle of Colecestr' and the keepers of the king's works there, for the work on the tower thereof. To John de Grey. Contrabreve to pay the 26 marks due to the king for the keepership of the said castle to the keepers of 'the
